Rye is a beautiful place to visit with cobbled streets and hidden passages which can seem a little bit confusing when you're looking for somewhere to eat! In short, you really can't go wrong with places to eat in Rye with most, if not all, being independently run. You can find everything from the fish 'n' chip classics to fine dining and international dishes.

9. Places to eat Lunch in Rye

Most places above are open for lunch including lighter lunch options. You can also try Mermaid Cafe and Sarah’s homemade scotch eggs or The Cornish Bakery for a wide variety of freshly baked goods plus (our regular) The Bakery at 89 for ready made sandwiches, donuts and other pastries to takeaway.
